Every brother and his dog seems to be writing a blog now. And there are MANY about poker. So, here’s the focus for this one: Kansas City poker scene and getting to Vegas from here. Here’s what you are going to see posts about:

- How to get to Vegas in the most value based way possible
It’s really all about value. I had a friend that was a wine drinker and while trying to educate me he said, “Anyone can find a good wine that is $50. The goal is to find the best one for you, that you can afford every day.” In keeping with that, my personal goal is to find a hotel that I can visit twice a year and with the family (if they want to go). So when you see posts about Vegas trips, you are going to see the following items under scrutiny.
- Location - needs to be near other casinos with different games and preferably on the Strip
- Good Poker Room - a variety of games and a range of limits, so if my bankroll grows, so can my games
- Pool and Amenities for the Family
- Food - I’ve had far too many bad meals lately in Vegas and not comped
